 It means self reliance or self sufficient.

 This word became popular last year during Covid-19 pandemic.

 Used in relation to economic development.

 Emphasis on Vocal for Local.

 Atmanirbhar Bharat Package
Total of three packages are announced.

About 27.1 lakh crore package is estimated by RBI.

Contribution is nearly 13% of GDP.

The AtmaNirbhar packages are supposed to accelerate our pace of

structural reforms.
What is MSME ?
Benefits of Atmanirbhar Bharat to MSMEs

Provision of ₹15,700 crore has been made for MSMEs sector in the
Union Budget 2021-22.

Rationalization of custom duty and import duty on certain products.

Fund of Funds scheme is to be setup to help MSMEs.

 Collateral free Loans to be provided for Business.

Benefits of Atmanirbhar Bharat to MSMEs

Limit of tax audit raised from 5 crore to 10 crore.

Provision for creation of Asset Reconstruction Company to takeover the

existing stressed debt.
