My short story...
Since my school coordinated the exchange of foreign students between two countries, I
was able to live and work in Australia for one years. When I first began my internship
in Australia, I was very enthusiastic and eager to get to Australia as soon as possible so
that I could experience the new culture. Yet I was mistaken; the first week in Australia
was extremely challenging.y school coordinated the exchange of foreign students

WHAT SURPRISED ME WHEN I WAS IN
AUSTRALIA?

To begin with, Australia is a vibrant country with many different races, as well as an immigrant country
with thousands of people from all over the world, so I have the opportunity to meet and learn about new
things. Second, considering the fact that the kangaroo is a symbol of Australia, kangaroo meat is
consumed as a delicacy in this world, which I find odd. It was the dish that piqued my interest the most,
and I couldn't wait to try it out.

VIVID SYDNEY

The first week I arrived coincided with the festival's

run. Indeed, I was surprised and intrigued by the
aboriginal people, and Australia was brimming with
varied cultural features of several different races.
