INTRODUCTION
1. To ascertain whether the usage of OTT Platforms has increased during the
COVID-19 Pandemic?
2. By how many hours on a daily basis has this usage increased (if at all)?
3. What are driving factors behind this increase (or lack thereof)?

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Our study surveys a sample of 200 respondents in order to find out the
increase in their usage of OTT streaming services. The sample
population was provided with a questionnaire asking them about their
usage habits in regards to OTT Streaming Services.
The questionnaire was distributed with the help of Google Forms as it
provides an easy way to collect data and also helps analyse it. The data
analysis was carried out with the help of pie charts which categorize the
responses into different strata.

MAJOR FINDINGS AND
CONCLUSION
The study reveals that 82% of the sample population feels that their usage
of these OTT Platforms has increased by between 1 to 3 hours every day.
The majority of the subscribers to these platforms have increased their
usage of OTT Streaming Platforms during the pandemic citing various
reasons but majorly ‘boredom’ and ‘excess time.’ This means that there is
a high demand for such streaming services. This is extremely relevant to
the organizations looking to enter the Indian Market for Streaming
Services such as HBO Max and Hulu, because this study proves that there
is not only a high demand but also a high usage rate of such Platforms.
