YouTubers: Rendon vs. Jonah
sa event na "Battle of the YouTubers.“

Alex Gonzaga, Zeinab Harake, Donnalyn Bartolome at
marami pang iba.

Suns in Game 3 of Finals
MILWAUKEE (REUTERS) - Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 41 points with 13 rebounds and
the Milwaukee Bucks claimed Game 3 of the National Basketball Association Finals in
dominant fashion with a 120-100 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday (July 11).

Coming home also appeared to bring Antetokounmpo sidekick Khris Middleton and point
guard Jrue Holiday new life. Middleton had 15 first-half points and Holiday connected for
four three-pointers in an explosive third quarter as the Bucks pushed their 15-point half-
time lead to 22.

Holiday had 21 points and Middleton added 18.

Phoenix fell behind in the second quarter and never recovered with top scorer Devin Booker
unable to find his stroke in a 3-of-14 shooting night that shifts the momentum of the best-
of-seven series. Game 4 is Wednesday night in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee ate in the paint, shredding the Suns' small-ball line-up as DeAndre Ayton sat idle
due to foul trouble. The Bucks, who had 54 points in the paint in Game 2, matched that
number in Game 3.

Threes started to fall for the Suns in the third after Phoenix missed 12 of 14 treys in the first
half, but Booker never found a rhythm.

Suns in Game 3 of Finals
The Suns scored 118 points in each of the first two games to build a 2-0 series lead but shot 29 per cent from deep in Game 3
thanks largely to Jae Crowder's 6-of-7 night.

Cam Johnson came off the bench to help keep Phoenix in the game in the third before Antetokounmpo completed a three-
point play and found Pat Connaughton for a three to end the third. Johnson's emphatic, and-one poster dunk over P.J.
Tucker had cut the lead to 10, and his reverse lay-up on the next possession made it an eight-point game just four
minutes earlier.

Booker did not play in the fourth quarter. Paul left the game for good with the Suns down 23 with 5min 2sec left in the game.
He had a team-high 19 points and nine assists, scooting past Scottie Pippen on the all-time playoffs assist list.

The Bucks led 60-45 at half-time on the legs of a 21-7 run closing out the second quarter, largely with Ayton on the bench. He
went back to the pine with 10:24 left in the third after his fourth foul.

Ayton started the game on fire with 16 points in the first 14 minutes but finished with 18.

Antetokounmpo had 18 points and eight boards at half-time.

Booker missed nine of his 11 shot attempts in the first half with the Bucks keeping bodies nearby.

03 Basketball: Nigeria score historic upset
over US in Olympic exhibition
BASKETBALL: NIGERIA SCORE HISTORIC
UPSET OVER US IN OLYMPIC EXHIBITION
LAS VEGAS (NYT) - The United States men's basketball team was
upset by Nigeria on Saturday evening (July 10) in its first exhibition
game ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, a stunning outcome even if the
effects are more symbolic than likely to affect the United States'
eventual gold medal hopes.

Nigeria defeated a Team USA roster stacked with All-National

Basketball Association (NBA) players, 90-87, at Mandalay Bay
Arena in Las Vegas. It was the first win by an African team over the
US men's national team.

The loss drops the Americans' record to 54-3 in exhibition games

held since 1992, when NBA players were first allowed to play in the
Olympics. The team had not lost an exhibition game since 2019, a
98-94 upset by Australia ahead of the FIBA World Cup.

At the 2012 Olympics in London, the United States beat Nigeria, 156-
73.

In Saturday's stunner, Kevin Durant scored a team-high 17 points for

Team USA. Jayson Tatum had 15 points and Damian Lillard added 14.

The trio was held to 9 of 30 shooting from the field, and their
teammates looked out of sync. Star players including LeBron James
and Stephen Curry had dropped out of consideration for the Olympics,
but the roster is still stacked with players who are expected to win gold
in Tokyo.

Nigeria's roster includes a handful of NBA players, including Chimezie

Timberwolves and Miye Oni of the Utah Jazz. The team is coached by

Nigeria converted nearly half of its 40 3-point attempts against their
rivals.

Ike Iroegbu, who played at Washington State, made a three-pointer

with just over a minute left and pushed Nigeria to an 88-80 lead.
Durant responded with seven straight points. The Miami Heat's Gabe
Vincent, who scored a game-high 21 points, sank two free throws with
13.2 seconds left, helping cement the upset as Team USA failed to
execute a play out of a timeout called in the game's final seconds.

"That loss means nothing if we don't learn from it, but it can be the
most important thing in this tournament for us to learn lessons from
it," US coach Gregg Popovich told reporters afterwards.

Gilas fans stick to positives after OQT setback:
'Future is so bright'
IT was another early-morning duty for Filipino fans as Gilas
Pilipinas took on Dominican Republic for a spot in the
Olympic Qualifying Tournament semifinals in Belgrade.

Netizens, especially those on Twitter, were very much alive

especially in the first half when the Philippines built an eight-
point lead against the Dominicans.

However, things went south by the second half when the fast and
athletic Dominicans went on a sensational run for a 94-67 win
that ended the Olympic dream of Gilas.

However, Filipino fans were disappointed but not disheartened,

knowing the future is so bright for this group of national
players.
