THE TRINITY: ONE GOD REVEALED IN THREE
PERSONALITIES
• Christians believe in one God
1. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, The Lord is one. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,
11; 44:8
2. The Bible declares that there is one true God. All other gods and idols are
deceptions of Satan.
THE ONE TRUE GOD EXPRESSED HIMSELF IN
THREE DISTINCT PERSONS
• At the time of creation God said, “Let us…..” Gen 1:26
• God refers to Himself in the plural….Gen 11:6,7 Is 6:8
• The Trinity includes…..Matt 28:19
• God the Father
• God the Son Jesus
• God the Holy Spirit
EVIDENCE OF ALL THREE TOGETHER

• When Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily form like a dove.
At the same time, a voice came from heaven saying: “You are my son, whom I love; with
you I am well pleased” Luke 3:22
• 2 Corinthians 13:14….the grace of the Lord Jesus, Love of God and fellowship of Holy
Spirit
GOD’S INFALLIBLE WORD

• “All scripture is God breathed and is useful for

teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in
righteousness, so that the man of God may be
thoroughly equipped for every good work. “2 Timothy
3:16-17
THE BIBLE IS INSPIRED BY GOD

• 2 Peter 1:20-21 “knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from
someone’s own interpretation. 21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man,
but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”
• The Bible is true because it comes from God Ps 19:8
THE BIBLE IS OUR RULE AND GUIDE FOR LIVING

• It is the owner’s manual on how to live and ENJOY life.

• I the words of Timothy above, Paul says that the Bible is useful.
• Because the Bible is God’s Word, it must be our highest authority on all subjects.
THE BIBLE IS A BOOK OF GOD’S THOUGHTS- IS
55:7-11
• God and His Word are one- John 3:1
• God does not change, nor does His Word- 1 Peter 124-25; Ps 33:10-11
• The Scripture, as God’s written Word, is perfect- Ps12:6
• God’s Word offers solutions for ALL OF LIFE’S PROBLEMS
GOD’S WORD HAS POWER

• It causes spiritual growth – 1 Peter 2:2

• It makes us disciples of Jesus and makes us free when we know it – John 8:31-32
• It produces faith – Romans 10:17
• It changes our thinking and causes a transformation in our lives – Romans 12:1-2
GOD’S WORD SUPPLIES EVERYTHING WE NEED FOR SPIRITUAL
LIFE AND DEVELOPMENT AS A CHRISTIAN – MATT 4:4

• God’s word contains promises for everything we need – 2 Peter 1:3-4

• God speaks to us through His Word. He also works in our hearts and minds through His
Word- 1 Thessalonians 2:13
