ORACLE DB DESCRIPTION
• Oracle database (Oracle DB) is a relational database management system (RDBMS) from
the Oracle Corporation. Originally developed in 1977 by Lawrence Ellison and other
developers, Oracle DB is one of the most trusted and widely-used relational database
engines.
• The system is built around a relational database framework in which data objects may be
directly accessed by users through structured query language (SQL). Oracle is a fully
scalable relational database architecture and is often used by global enterprises, which
manage and process data across wide and local area networks. The Oracle database has its
own network component to allow communications across networks.
• Oracle DB is also known as Oracle.
MYSQL DESCRIPTION
• MySQL is a full-featured relational database management system (RDBMS). MySQL is
sponsored by the Swedish company MySQL AB, which is owned by Oracle Corp. However,
the MySQL source code is freely available because it was originally developed as freeware.
MySQL is written in C and C++ and is compatible with all major operating systems.
POSTGRESQL DESCRIPTION
• PostgreSQL is an open-source, object-relational database management system (ORDBMS)
that is not owned or controlled by one company or individual. Because postgrcoordinated
online effort esSQL software is open-source, it is managed mostly through a by an active
global community of developers, enthusiasts and other volunteers.
