SOLAR AUTOMATED DISPENSER

Why did we choose this topic –

 Has a High demand in the market

 Perfectly fits in the supply and demand formula
 Handy project
 Easy to handle
 Cost effective
 Reusable
4

INTRODUCTION

SOLAR AUTOMATED DISPENSER –

 Thissensor operated dispenser detects a user’s hands when placed

underneath, causing a clean shot of liquid soap to be dispensed
automatically.
 With no need to touch the unit it significantly reduces cross-
contamination, therefore improving hygiene.
5

AUTOMATED DISPENSER

 PRINCIPLE –

 Works on the principle of converting solar/chemical energy into electrical energy.

 The objective is of dispensing the solution automatically with the help of an infrared proximity sensor and
hand gestures.
 This mechanism is composed of two parts, a source of focused light (usually a laser beam) and a light
sensor.
 When the user’s hands are placed in line of the beam of light, the pump mechanism is activated by the
disruption that is sensed by the light sensor.
6

OBJECTIVE AND PARTS REQUIRED

 OBJECTIVE –
Innovate a unique means of sanitizing hands on the basis of preventing minimal physical touch (To avoid
spread of any virus mutants)

 REQUIREMENTS –
32C Transistor, Infrared Proximity Sensor, Solar Cell, Lithium Battery, Solution Container, Alcohol
sanitizer(solution), Dc Water Pump, Flexible stainless steel tube, 1K Resistor
7

WORKING

 IR proximity sensor detects the presence of a hand and makes the OUT pin LOW
 A 1K resistor is connected between sensor OUT and the base of the transistor. It protects the
transistor from burning out.
 DC Water Pump is inserted in the container .for the circulation of fluid
 Solar Cell is included for sustainable energy and has the ability to conserve energy during Day
time.
 Since 32C Transistor has high collector current of about 2A it can be used for Power switching
or large signal amplification.
8

CONNECTIONS

 Parts and materials

 Clean the container
 Connect tube to your motor
 Drill holes for wires and tube
 Cut the excess tube
 Add a bendy tube
 Makeshift nozzle
 Hotglue
 Superglue 32C Transistor

MARKET CAPITALIZATION

 This unique flagship product holds a great scope for business expansion and market capitalization due to the
following reasons : -
1. PORTABILITY – Can be carried over distances
2. MARKET REQUISTE – In this pandemic situation, can be capitalized on no touch use
3. FRUGAL – it is cheaper and cost effective for the Indian market.
4. RECLAIMABLE – It is Reusable.
5. SET A TREND – By unique marketing strategies can set up a trend

EPILOGUE

 This project helped us to think in a very different way and forced us to bring innovative
ideas.
 This allowed fellow students a platform where they can implement their ideas and with a
mentor students can definitely Make it.
 It also allowed to observe others ideas and analyze their thought process of how a project
can be done.
 Making of this project inculcated many values like teamwork, patience, dedication,
learning attitude, etc.
 We got to know our capabilities and we are grateful to the management for organizing
such an event.
