BIM
Building Information Modelling
(BIM) is a process that begins
with the creation of an
intelligent 3D model and
enables document
management,coordination and
simulation during the entire life
cycle of a project
(plan,design,build,operation
and maintenance).
USE OF BIM
BIM is used to design and document building
infrastructure designs.
Every detail of a building is modeled in BIM.
BIM not only allows design and construction
teams to work more efficiently, but it
allows them to capture the data they create
during the process to benefit operations and
maintenance activities.
BIM IN CIVIL ENGINEERING
BIM for civil projects improves outcomes with its ability to investigate multiple scenarios,
providing data-driven assurance that projects can be delivered on schedule and on
budget.
INTRODUCTION TO SOFTWARE

REVIT
 Autodesk Revit is BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING software.
 It allows users to design buildings and all its components in 3D,and finally
annotate the model with 2D drafting elements and access building information
from the building model data base.

CONCLUSION
 In this project we learnt planning, scheduling, drafting, modelling and rendering of
residential building.
 We known that every minute detail counts ,while working with this project we
became familiar with revit user interface and we were comfortable through the
whole process.
 Revit will ensure you waste less time dealing with the little manual tasks so often
delay projects.
 You cut down on paperwork, which makes your projects more sustainable and
cost-effective.
