It is prescribed in Quran in
2; 180, that, when death approaches you and you are leaving any assets then make
first bequest to parents, after that next of kin.
Parents
To be good and devoted to your parents
When they are not alive
Give a charity (sadqaat) for their piety.
Offer prayers (Namaz) and fast (Roza) for them or engage any other
person for this job on payments.
Pay their debt if any.
Sponsor some one for hajj pilgrimage in place of them.
Sponsor any needy, orphan or widow for their piety.
Recite (Fatiha) every day. Pray for them every day.
Recite Quran for them. Offer (Qurbani) for them.
Pay respect to their friends and relatives as they were paying respect to
them while they were alive.
If you are an elder one then it is your prime duty to take care of your
younger’s needs and education etc. along with the property of your
demise parents. Distribute the accurate shares among family members
as per Islamic law.
Kindred
Take care of all your family persons like; brothers, sisters,
uncles, aunties and all relatives.
The kin and relatives are considered the most deserving people
for the Islamic charities and gift etc., because of the common
in blood relationship.
When some one in need and some of his relatives are rich,
obviously he look at those rich relative who are close to
them, because it is expected for a man to feel more
sympathy and pain in his hard time, a needy prefer to
ask to relatives rather than with strangers.
