Value
A value is defined as a principle that promotes well-being
or prevents harm.  
Types of Values:
The five core human values are:
1 . Right conduct,
2 . Peace,
3 . Truth,
4 . Love
5 . Non-violence.
Types of Values:
Following are the five main types of values
1. Values related to RIGHT CONDUCT:
1.Self-Help Skills: Care of work, hygiene etc
2.Social Skills: Good behavior, good manners, good relationships etc
3.Ethical Skills: Code of conduct, courage, duty, respect for all etc
2. Values related to PEACE: Examples-Calmness, discipline, equality,
happiness, harmony, self-confidence, self-control, self-respect etc
3. Values related to TRUTH: Examples-Fairness, fearlessness, honesty,
integrity, justice, trust, truthfulness etc.
4. Values related to LOVE: Examples-Care, empathy, forgiveness,
friendship, kindness, sacrifice, sharing etc
5. Values related to NON-VIOLENCE: Examples- Piece, harmlessness,
concern for others, mercy etc.
How do the human values evolve?
The human values evolve because of the following factors:
1. By the teachings and practice of Gurus or Saviors or religious leaders.

2. Developed or modified by social leaders, rulers of kingdom and government.


3. Developed or modified by one’s own awareness, choice, and judgment in fulfill
ing the needs.
4. The impact of norms of the society on the fulfillment of the individual’s needs
or desires.
