INTRO TO THE STUDY

The study is all about the teaching skills learned from in-service training and
teaching effectiveness of Junior High School Music teacher from Rural and Urban
area.

• Teaching skills are the pedagogical competences of a teacher.


• In-service training refers to a professional and personal educational activity for
teachers to improve their efficiency, ability, knowledge and motivation in their
professional work.
• Teaching effectiveness refers to the teaching qualities and attributes of a teacher
that affects the student’s achievements.

The intention of this study is to compare how in-service training differs from rural
and urban area.
