Definition of 3g technology
First generation:- First-generation mobile phone is
simulated signal phone(1G)
Second generation:- second-generation mobile
phone refers to the digital signal (2G), as our
common GSM and CDMA, provides a low rate data
services
2.5 Generation:- refers to provide the medium speed
digital data service based on the second-generation
mobile phone. Its transfer rate is generally 10 kbps to
more than 100 kbps.
Third generation:-3G (The Third Generation) is the
third generation mobile communication technology
for short. It is cellular mobile communication
technology which supports high-speed data
transmission.
Characteristics of 3g technology
1. 3G network adopts 2G spectrum, with available
bandwidth up to 230M Hz which assigns to the
terrestrial network 170M Hz and satellite network
60M Hz.
2. Because 3G networks should carry on a variety of
multimedia services, according to business
requirements, its radio frequency carrier channel can
choose 5/10/20M channel bandwidth
3. In the broadband channel, we can use the
technology of time multiplexing and code reuse
agility to control power and quality of each business.
4. 3G base stations use adaptive antenna arrays having
relationship with programmable electronic phase.
Software agents
Design of 3g wireless networks is a complex task .it
requires several different skills in areas such as
telecommunication systems, radio propagation ,
information systems….etc
Software agents is an recent information technology is
adopted in conjunction with parallel computing
Software Agents: Basic Concepts
Re-activity: agents sense environmental changes, such
as variations of computing resources, state of other
agents, etc.
Pro-activity: agents can be programmed to take
initiative in order to reach predefined goals.
Co-operation : software agents can cooperate by
communicating and exchanging data to efficiently and
effectively solve a common goal
Mobility: agents can move to a new computing node, or
they can clone themselves and partition part of their
task to the duplicate, which can be allocated to a
different computing node.
Autonomy: agents are able to make decisions on their
own.
Adaptation: agents reshape themselves according to
dynamic environmental changes.
How Chinese Consumers
Respond to 3G Diffusion
In recent decades, the growth pace of mobile industries has
been immense and we have witnessed dramatic changes in
mobile technologies and services
China is the largest mobile telecommunications market in the
world, has been increasingly attracting attentions from
practitioners and researchers.
The term 3G stands for the third generation of mobile
communication technology, and is based on the International
Telecommunication Union (ITU) family of standards
3G technologies enable telecommunication operators
to offer users a wider range of more advanced services,
including wide-area wireless voice telephony, video
calls, broadband wireless data and more mobile
Internet services.
Many western developed nations have launched 3G
networks in their countries since the beginning of this
century, such as the United States, and the most
western European countries
