A suspension containing the dispersed phase
with density of 1500 kg/m3 and continuous
phase is water at 30 oC. The suspension has a
concentration of the dispersed phase of 30% by
weight. This suspension is settled by a centrifuge
with the dimension of b=0.2m; r1=0.008 m; and
r2=0.03m. The centrifuge is operateted at
N=25000rev/min to obtain a max critical particle
diameter in the fluid out of 10 nm. Determine
the feed mass flow rate of suspension to get that
particle diameter in kg/h. Ans: 0.109 kg/h
