Sir Isaac Newton was an
English mathematician, physicist, astronomer,
and author (described in his time as a “natural

INTRODUCTION

Sir Isaac Newton was born on 4 Jan 1643, in

he attended school, he entered Cambridge University in
1661. During his study he was very keen to collect the
knowledge about optics and mathematics.
Discoveries

•Newton’s three laws of motion set the foundation for modern

classical mechanics.
•His discovery of the gravitational force gave man the ability to
predict movements of celestial objects.
•Newton discovered Calculus using a geometric approach, when
working on his theory of fluxions. This theory consists of the
fundamentals of instantaneous change, a basic component of
Calculus.
