What personal appearance
means
Personal appearance means the way we
look about ourself,the way we present
ourself.We represent it through our
clothes,make up,etc.
Traditional clothes of British and what
they symbolize
Kilt with shirt,waiscoat and tweed
jacket,stockings with garter
flashes,brogue shoes and a sporran are the
British traditional clothes for
gentlemen.Kilt is a symbol of honor for
the clan which they belong,Kilt was a
manner of dress that afforded the fighting
army with possibly its most useful tool.
Bonnet,fichu scarf,bergwn
bedgown,ffedog apron,and pois
petticoat are the British traditional
clothes for ladies.Scarf is a new power
symbol for women,bergwn bedgown
symbolize that pretty can be
comfortable too.Apron was holding
back women because back then,they
thought what women can do is just
cooking but now apron become a
unisex tool.Pois petticoat is worn with
a bedgown,they are similar as the
lehenga and the sari.
 Formal dress codes that people wear in
formal occasion in British
Meeting:

British men wear a dark suit,tie,and British women can wear a

oxford or loafer shoes. simple pantsuit,skirtsuit,or
tailored dress.The simpler a
piece is,the more formal it is.
Ceremony:

British men should wear a complete

tuxedo with black tie because black

dresses or gowns.

 How important personal appearance is
Nowadays,people judge us by our
looks,we brush our teeth everyday
because we don’t want people have bad
thoughts about us.If someone has a dirty
hair then many people will hate
her,that’s why personal appearance is
important.We must take care about
ourself so people will be comfortable
around us.We can use product like
skincare or make up to make ourself
feel better.
