Beepi was a company based in Mountain View,
California

Beepi was founded by Ale Resnik and Owen Savir

It offers P2P marketplace


Key Partners
Beepi’s lending partners include vehicle financing firm
Ally Financial, up2drive, a division of BMW Bank of
North America, and JPMorgan Chase’s Chase Bank.

Beepi has also collaborated with bitcoin payment


processing company BitPay.
Key Activities
Peer-to-Peer marketplace for the sale of used cars.

Provides leasing and financing services to its


customers through a simple online application.

Beepi’s key resources are its software platform
Value Propositions
Beepi’s principal value to both sellers and buyers is its
platform.

Beepi is able to provide a more reasonable price as it


doesn’t have any showrooms.

If buyer is unhappy with the product they receive, they


are afforded 10 days to return the car for a full refund
Customer Relationship
For buyers the Beepi service is entirely self-service.

Sellers can provide details of any car they wish to sell


via a self-service online form.

Channels
Beepi can be accessed through the Company’s mobile
and desktop site.
Customer Segments
Beepi provides services to two principal customer
segments:

Car owners that are seeking buyers for their used car
And consumers who are seeking to buy a used car.
Cost Structure
Beepi’s principal costs relate to the maintenance of its
IT infrastructure

Other expenses include rental payments and utilities.


Revenue Streams
Beepi generates revenue through commission.

If a buyer does not come forward during the first 30


days, Beepi buys the car directly from the seller.
Reason for failure
Beepi was a classic example of "good idea, bad
execution".

Mismanagement of funds.

Did not provide some basic facility for car buyers.


How Beepi could have survived
Replacing 10 days refund policy with letting buyer take
test drive.

Beepi should have not used capital for personal use.

Beepi should have avoided the strategy of buying the


car after 30 days.
