• According to Natural Law Ethics (NLE), it is
wrong to have an abortion.
• According to NLE, based on the “Principle
of Double Effect”, it is acceptable to have a
different life-saving procedure, even if an
unborn child might die as an unintended
consequence.

course of a good action, it is morally
permissible to perform the action if
four conditions are met.
