Definition
• What is sensor ?
• Sensors include sensors that measure physical phenomena such
as light and sound, temperature and humidity, pressure,
distance, electricity, magnetism, velocity, acceleration, and
angular velocity, as well as gases in the atmosphere.
• Sensors are devices that generally detect changes in external
conditions, such as force, heat, light, magnetic fields, and
ultrasonic waves, and convert them to electrical signals.

1) ON / OFF signal output:


- Contact of sensor is open / close.

2) Analog/Digital signal output:


- Outputs as analog amount of voltage (0 to 10V,
-10V to 10V) or current (4 to 20 mA).
- Outputs as digital signal such as 4 bits or 8 bits of
data
