• As you can see in your module, there is an activity. A Matching type.
You are going to match column A with column B. To answer this, kindly
get your notebook/a clean sheet of paper and write the correct letter only.
I’ll give you 2 minutes to answer that one. Your time starts now.
COLUMN A COLUMN B
• Are you done children? Very good. What have you observed about the
pictures shown?
• If your answer in 1st picture is letter d, that is correct. It is a Tilapia
Raising. Do you know what is tilapia? Have you eaten and seen it?

• Okay, Tilapia is a species of fish that can be raised in farm cultured

ponds and it is usually grown in freshwater.
• For the second picture, if your answer letter e, that is also correct.

• It is a hog/swine raising. Pig is an animal that is commonly

domesticated or commercially produced and it can be sold as pork met
or traded live for letchon roasting. Letchon is delicious, right? So,
yummy!
• For the next picture, if your answer is letter a, that is correct.

• It is cow raising. Cow a domesticated four-legged animal that raised as

livestock for meat (beef and veal), dairy products (milk) and as draught
animals (pulling carts, plowing).
• For the second and last picture, if your answer is letter b, that is also
correct. It is a catfish/hito raising. Who among you have already eaten
hito/catfish? It is delicious when you fried that one with hot chili sauce.
Catfish a type of fish that has a large head and long thin parts that look
like a cat’s whiskers around its mouth. It has the ability to live for a long
time out of water like during droughts.

spaces and the abundant supply of grasses in the farm makes it an ideal
place for the production of these animals.
• Animal and fish raising is one of the sources of
livelihood of many Filipinos especially in the rural
areas. It is a small industry that can be done in one’s
backyard or vacant lot with knowledge, skill and hard
work. It can be a profitable business. Those people in
the community whose occupation is to raise four-legged
animals are called animal raisers while those who are
engaged in raising fish are called fish farmers.
