Sampling helps a lot in research. It is one of the
most important factors which determine the
accuracy of your research/survey result. If
anything goes wrong with your sample then it
will be directly reflected in the final result.
There are lot of techniques which help us to
gather sample depending upon the need and
situation.
 SAMPLING PROCEDURES

To start with, let’s have a look on some basic
terminology;

Population is the collection
of the elements which has
some or the other
characteristic in common.
Number of elements in the
population is the size of the
population.
 SAMPLING PROCEDURES

Sample. An infinite number or observation, individuals or units

selected from those which comprise a particular population for the
expressed purpose of making interference about the said population
sample is merely a part of the whole to represent the whole. is the
subset of the population. The process of selecting a sample is known
as sampling. Number of elements in the sample is the sample size.
SAMPLING PROCEDURES

Sampling. is a statistical
procedure that is concerned
with the selection of the
individual observation; it
helps us to make statistical
inferences about the
population. In sampling, we
assume that samples are
drawn from the population
and sample means and
population means are equal.
 SAMPLING PROCEDURES

The process or technique of drawing the representative (called sample) from a

group (called the population), the sample must be good representatives of the
group or population so that the inference to be made about the population
would be valid or reliable.
