Government Engineering College at Nilokheri has been established by Government of Haryana in year
2016 after taking approval from AICTE on 30.4.2016. The first academic session has been start from
16th August, 2016. The institute is situated in Nilokheri Tehsil of KarnalDistrict and is well connected by
road and rail. It is 143 Kms from National Capital New Delhi and 107 Kms from state capital
Chandigarh. It is also well connected to many nearby states like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and
Kashmir, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Utrakhand. The institute has been established with an aim to deliver
quality technical education to the deserving candidates. It also aims at development of overall
personality of Engineers who would be competent to work in the MNCs at National & International
level and can emerge as leaders in a range of professions. The Government of Haryana is also intended
to develop this institute as a Center of excellence for Technical Education, higher studies and research.
