INTRODUCTION

Cannabis is one of the most widely used


illegal drugs, cannabis use has adverse social,
economic and health consequences. The
objective of this work is to know cannabis
dependence, from the history of this drug
and its development, as well as the
psychological approach of a clinical case to
its treatment

COPING STYLES AND USE OF CANNABIS ALCOHOL IN


STUDENTS OF A PRIVATE UNIVERSITY IN SOUTH LIMA

The relationship between coping and alcohol-cannabis use


styles was determined in a sample of 330 university students
between the ages of 17 and 62, from the schools of Psychology and
Law of a private university in South Lima

The study was of non-experimental design, descriptive correlational type.

The COPE-60 coping styles questionnaire by Carver, Scheier and Weintraub (1989) andthe
ASSIST 3.0 Drug Use Screening Test of the World Health Organization (2011)
were administered. 8
Results

• The results showed that 71.2% of the participants


presented a
• consumption of legal drugs (alcohol, tobacco and
pills). The results showed significant differences
between the coping style dimension directed to the
task,aimed at the emotional partner and sex.
Regarding cannabis use, there is a significant
difference with male sex and alcohol consumption
with the law school.
• Finally, a direct relation of coping and alcohol
consumption styles was found.
