AGHI overview

Introduction:
Access to Good Health Initiative (AGHI)is a nascent community
based organization with the aim of catering for the needs of the
vulnerable people, She has implemented so many projects in the
state and beyond. AGHI believes in building the capacity of her
community members in diverse ways and settings. AGHI also
provides quality health care and human rights services to her
community members Currently, AGHI is implementing a Global
fund project tagged “optimizing HIV investment for impact”
which is designed to reach the key populations in some part of the
country which includes enugu, Edo, Anambra, Imo, Abia, Oyo etc.
 vision statement:
A society where all human rights are guaranteed irrespective of peoples
class, religion, sex, beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity and
expression.
 mission statement:
To improve human right and accessible healthcare for the vulnerable people
through social marketing, education, research and documentation.
 Goal:
To achieve zero tolerance to human rights violations and new HIV/STI
infections.
Our Aim/Objectives:
 to reduce the prevalence of HIV among key affected populations.
 to minimize the spread and impact of STI among the key populations
 to ensure that sexual reproductive health and right issues are promoted
 to drastically reduce discrimination and blackmail targeted at the key
populations and other vulnerable persons.
 to improve access to Anti-retroviral therapy and other sexual
reproductive health commodities.
 to improve knowledge of key populations and their allies on fundamental
human rights
AGHI as an implementing partner in the ongoing impact project is
saddled with the responsibility of identifying new cases of MSMLWHIV
in the state and linking them to care and treatment STI inclusive.
However, AGHI has continued to flatten the curves in the delivering of
quality health care to her community members in Enugu. Overtime it
has been proved beyond every reasonable doubt that some percentage
of our community members are living with HIV who and has not
ascertained their status which is the reason why we are implementing
this project. Under this project achieving viral suppression by
MSMLWHIV is key and cannot be overemphasized. On that note, AGHI
is not relenting on following up on her clients to ensure strict adherence
to their ART.
