PROTOCOLS FOR STUDENTS and PARENTS

• As a general rule, students are expected to observe


the highest standards of conduct and decorum
during online learning. An online classroom is a
safe space and will remain to be safe if everyone
in the community adheres to the school policy on
ethical conduct during online learning. Everyone is
expected to maintain a positive online identity and
promote a supportive online learning environment.
PROTOCOLS FOR STUDENTS and PARENTS

learning environment. Express your
thoughts and opinions in a respectful
manner, even when your teacher is not
around. Use your freedom of expression
responsibly. Think before you post!
CONSULTATION SESSIONS

A designated time in the weekly schedule is allotted for


academic and non- academic consultations. Consultation
sessions may be done individually or in groups.

Student Consultation – after every learning session,


students may consult their subject teacher or teachers
may do follow up. This may give light to academic or
non-academic concern.
SUSPENSION OF CLASSES

• When classes are suspended due to inclement


weather or other unforeseen events, official
announcements will be posted on Official
Facebook page of St. John’s Academy Inc..
BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS FROM STUDENTS

• It is assumed that a student who seeks admission


at the St. John’s Academy Inc. is willing to abide
by the rules and regulations of the school. The
rules and regulations are set to develop a sense of
responsibility, integrity, personal discipline, inner
freedom and concern for and involvement in the
welfare of the school and the community.
BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS FROM STUDENTS

1.All students are required to attend the virtual flag


ceremony at 7:00 in the morning, every Monday.
2.During zoom sessions, students are required to come
on time. Those who will come late will be marked tardy.

• TARDY 1 – 5 minutes
• TARDY ABSENT 6 – 10 minutes
BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS FROM STUDENTS

• A student who was previously absent must present an


electronic letter explaining the reason/s for the absence to
the subject teacher. It must be duly signed by the
parent/guardian. Absences due to illness for more than 3
consecutive days, the student is required to present a
scanned or e-copy of the doctor’s certificate. Death of
immediate family member, flood, power interruption,
service provider system maintenance will be considered
excused. The student is entitled to the missed activities.
 
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY AND HONESTY

• Personal integrity is expected of each student.


Dishonesty and cheating in examinations and
school work are considered serious offenses
and therefore, subject to disciplinary sanctions.
The following are considered cheating:

Communicating to others like asking questions to classmates during


examinations.

Comparing answers during exams and leaking of answers.

Questionable possession of copy/copies of examination paper, reproducing same


for his/her use or distribution to others.

Copying or allowing another student to copy from one’s project, assignments or


examination. In the latter case, both parties are liable.
Letting somebody take an examination or test or prepare academic requirements
on one’s behalf. If the parties involved are students, both are liable.
The following are considered cheating:

Plagiarism and other forms of academic dishonesty.

 PLAGIARISM is a serious offense against academic integrity.

borrowing someone else's original ideas. But terms like "copying"
and "borrowing" can disguise the seriousness of the offense:
