Background of the Organization
AAMBC is one of the premier institutions in the private college and setup in July 2006(G.C).
The college has set up a great experience and has produced health workers who are competent
And committed has set up a great experience and has produced health workers who are competent
to the highest professional standards in the field of health science. The institution has young and
dedicated professionals, who are enthusiastic to face the challenges of the health education in the
21st century through its activities.
It is widely known that education is a potent instrument for developing natural and human
resources and realization of over-all development of mankind. For every development (economic,
social, political and technological), education determines human civilization. Therefore, provision
of quality education is mandatory at all levels (primary, secondary and tertiary) to cope up with
the ever changing and interdependent world. In this regard, higher education institutions are
specifically expected to produce all -rounded graduates who are equipped with the necessary
knowledge, skill and attitude which is consistent with the aspiration of the nation. Institutions of
higher education are also supposed to produce new knowledge through research, serve as conduits
for the transfer, adaptation, and business with advice and consultancy services.

Cognizant of expansion of universities and increasing students’ enrolment alone would not satisfy
the needs of country .as a result, the government has also given special attention at higher
education whilst access to education. Accordingly, to ensure quality education at higher
education, a legal frame work focusing on critical issues of relevance and quality education
proclamation were launched in 2003 and 2009 as proclamation no 351/2003 and proclamation no
650/2009 respectively. Based on this legal background, higher education relevance and quality
Assurance agency (HERQA) were established were established at national level in 2003.
AAMBC has been providing quality education and training since its founding in 1996 E.C.
During that time, the college grew from a single campus of few students and staff members,
primarily from Sidest killo, expanded to a six-campus. In early 1997 E.C, Addis Ababa Medical
College resumes health education in Addis Ababa, Sidest killo. The college began developing
into a multi-campus institution in early 1995s. It was begun by initiating programs with the
regional states: Oromia and Dire Dawa.
Expansion continued with the opening of the AAMBC second campus in Addis Ababa Misrak
Campus in 1998 E.C. Today, the college consists of five independent compounds in the capital
city as well as in different regional districts covering Oromia and Dire Dawa. The total students’
enrollment population has increased at an alarming rate compared to other similar private
Colleges. Projections for growth mirror the patterns of the recent past depicted strong teaching
and learning commitment.

The college has attained excellence in teaching junior pharmacy, laboratory technicians and junior
nurses, public health officers at a diploma level and degree level,based on previous experience in
training at different categories and availability of conducive training environment, feedback from
stalk holders is an opportunity to expands the number of training programs.

Building on its accumulated teaching experience in the field of health science, AAMBC has
embarked on now teaching business fields so as to provide its clients with the a wide variety of
opportunities and opening up a chance to entrepreneurship in the field of their specialization.

The students of Addis Ababa medical and Business College Batu campus are highly accustomed
with the usage of modern CD library. The college has adequate classrooms, reading facilities,
organized demonstration facility, laboratory and service to practical areas. It is also using all
government and non-government health facilities for practical teaching.
Vision
The vision of Addis Ababa Medical and Business College is to be model in East Africa in
training qualified health and business professionals who play as important role in delivering
quality service in the country through upgrading the program up to MSC and PhD levels.

Mission
The mission of Addis Ababa Medical and Business College is to Produce competent
professionals who possess the desired academic knowledge, efficient professional skill,
commitment to moral principles and values; Undertake socially relevant research and publish
journal of scientific standard; Develop a strong link and partnership with other public and private
national and international colleges and universities; Create and lead transparent and democratic
institutional behavior that contribute to the strengthening and maintenance of the principles and
values of the country and; Serve as center of apprenticeship and practicum to render service to
surrounding community and other colleges.
General object of Project

college Batu campus the study is to evaluate factors which effect employees and student
motivation.

Goal of project
• The goal of our college to use internet it’s to ensure quality training so that trainees might get
the professional skill, knowledge and attitude required for the best job opportunity.
• Using the internet the student access information by SMIS and instructor insert the grade
