OF PAKISTAN
GENERAL FEATURES
Family: bovidae Species: Ovis aries
Most of Pakistani breeds descended from
Urial (Ovis vignei), wild sheep of Baluchistan,
Afghanistan & central Asia and
Argali (Ovis ammon) Marco polo of China.
Two Types; Thin tail & Fat tail
Most of the breeds are coarse wool.
Mostly sheep are raised for mutton and
Wool production is the secondary objective.
