3D Visualization of Modeling

By Sathish kumar.k B.E Mechanical

1
What is Modeling?
 3D CAD (computer aided design) software assists in
the creation of 3D drawings for manufacturing, engineering,
3D printing, and architecture.
 It is used to create prototype model of Product.
 3D modeling describes the use of software tools, such as
computer-aided design (CAD) programs, to create 3D digital
representations of objects. ... Virtual 3D models can be
turned into physical objects through 3D printing or traditional
manufacturing processes.
2
Modeling Software's in Mechanical
• CAD(Computer Aided Design)
• CAM(Computer Aided Manufacturing)
• CAE (Computer Aided Engineering)

3
CAD(Computer Aided Design)
• AutoCAD is an 2D and 3D Software, Basic
Software for all Mechanical and Civil Fields
• It has a three types Of Drawing
 2D,Isometeric
 3D Modeling
• Isometric is an not a 3d Drawing but it’s shows
as 3D drawing
• It’s degree in 30 Degree of all four sides
4
CAM &CAE Software's

CAM CAE
• PTC CREO/PRO E • ANSYS
• SOLIDWORKS • NX NASTRAN
• CATIA
• NXCAD
• SOLIDEDGE
• Revit MEP

5
Modeling Used in Fields

 Mechanical
 Mechatronics
 Automobile
 Electrical

6
Common Techniques Used in 3D CAD Modeling

3D CAD modeling can be classified into 3

distinct categories:
 Wire-frame modeling
 Surface modeling
 Solid modeling

7
Wireframe

A wire-frame model, also wireframe

model, is a visual representation of a
three-dimensional physical object used
in 3D computer graphics.
A Wireframe Representation is a 3-D line
drawings of an object Showing only the
edges Without any side surface in-
between
8
Surface Modeling

Surface Modeling is the method of showing or
presenting solid objects. The process requires you
to convert between different 3D modeling types,
such as converting the 3D object to thin Surface
like hollow body
 Surface modeling is widely used in CAD
(computer-aided design) for illustrations and
architectural renderings.

9
Solid Modeling
Solid Modeling is the computer
modeling of 3D solid objects. The
objective of Solid Modeling is to ensure
that every surface is geometrically
correct. ... In short, solid modeling
allows the design, creation,
visualization and animation of digital
3D models.
10
Uses In Electrical Engineering
 In electrical engineering they are used
to design a wires and pipe of Electrical
Components in various field.
 Models for complex systems are often
represented by networks of models for
simpler electrical devices such as
resistors, capacitors, transistors, and
transformers.

11
Mechatronics Engineering

 In Mechatronics Engineering,
They are used to create
Robotics Arms
,Hydralics,pneumatics like
etc.…,
 Mainly Used For Creating A
Robotics

12
Rendering Software's
Best Rendering Software's

 Solidworks Rendering
 Solidworks Visualize
 Keyshot

13
Solid Visualize
SOLIDWORKS® Visualize
allows you to leverage your 3D CAD
data to create photo-quality content
in the fastest and easiest way you
can–from images to animations,
interactive web content, and
immersive Virtual Reality. Bring your
products to life. SOLIDWORKS
Visualize is the “camera” for your
Design Data

14
Solidworks Rendering
PhotoView 360 is a
SOLIDWORKS add-in
that produces photo-
realistic renderings of
SOLIDWORKS models.
The rendered image
incorporates the
appearances, lighting,
scene, and decals included
with the model.

15
Solidworks Rendering by
Keyshot
Keyshot is widely
recognized as the best
rendering software for
SOLIDWORKS
professionals on both
macOS and Windows, and
the fastest, easiest, and most
powerful for selling a
concept, creating
presentations, exploring
digital prototypes
