Click on Start, then
click on All Apps.
Right-click on the
app you want to pin
to your Start menu.

Notification area
• The notification area (previously called the system
tray) is in the bottom right-hand corner of the
screen.
• This section can be personalised in several ways.
Typically, it displays the date and time, whether you
are connected to the internet or not, notifications
about updates, and incoming emails.
Show app icons
• Click on each option
after right-clicking on
the bottom taskbar
near the right-hand
side. Explore what
each option can do.
• Click on this icon to
show you all the
icons you could use.
Date & Time
• Double-clicking on
the Date & Time
notification will open
the calendar.
• You can add events
as you would in a
diary. You will get a
notification to
remind you when it
is time for the event.
