Opening Prayer

P – Let us pray.
Merciful Father, whose love and mercy surpasses all that we deserve, humbly
we implore You, rule over our hearts, minds, and bodies, that we may be filled
with love – for You and our neighbors; full of trust, we offer to You all that we
are and all that we have; transform us O Lord, that we may be merciful in
thought, word and deed; look kindly upon us as we ask for the grace to ponder
in our hearts what we proclaim with our lips – “not our will but Your will be
done.” We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and
reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever.
All - Amen.
PSALM 51
Gospel: Luke 11: 29-32
29 And the multitudes running together, he began to say: This generation is a wicked
generation: it asked a sign, and a sign shall not be given it, but the sign of Jonas the
prophet.
30 For as Jonas was a sign to the Ninivites; so, shall the Son of man also be to this

generation.
31 The queen of the south shall rise in the judgment with the men of this generation and

shall condemn them: because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the Wisdom of
Solomon; and behold more than Solomon here.
32 The men of Nineveh shall rise in the judgment with this generation and shall condemn

it; because they did penance at the preaching of Jonas; and behold more than Jonas here.

CHAPLET OF THE
DIVINE MERCY
WITH BIBLICAL
REFLECTIONS
Our Father

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary

Hail Mary, Full of Grace,

The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now,
And at the hour of our death.
Amen.
The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell;
on the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father
Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
Amen.

Desires of a Soul
All - O Jesus my Master, I unite my desires to the desires that You had on the cross; I
desire to fulfill Your Holy Will; I desire the conversion of souls; I desire that Your
mercy be adored; I desire that the triumph of the Church be hastened; I desire that
the Feast of Mercy be celebrated all over the world; I desire sanctity of priests; I
desire that in all religious houses there reign a spirit of great zeal for the Glory of
God and the salvation of souls; I desire that the souls do not offend God but
persevere in good; I desire that the blessings of God descend upon all.
Intercessions
Leader – Brothers and sisters, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said to Saint
Faustina, “Let no soul fear to draw near to me, even though its sins be as scarlet
(699). My mercy is greater that your sins and those of the entire world (1485). The
graces of My Mercy are drawn by means of one vessel only and that is – trust. The
more a soul trusts, the more it will receive (1578). Trusting in His mercy, let us now
humbly ask for the grace to “Be merciful even, as the Father is merciful, “As we echo
Saint Faustina’s prayer to be merciful.

should never speak negatively of my neighbor but have a word of comfort and
forgiveness for all.
● Help me, O Lord that my hands be merciful and filled with good deeds, so that I
may do only good to my neighbors and take upon myself the more difficult and
toilsome tasks.

neighbor, overcoming my own fatigue and weariness. My true rest is in the serve
of my neighbor.
Prayer
