Introduction

• This research is conducted to understand and analyze the core difference

of gender roles between men and women. By doing this practical based
research, students of gender studies can get the proper idea of gender roles
and will be able to differentiate the behavioral changes of different
genders.
Research Questions

• What is ratio in comparison of food waste of men and women?

• How does a public place like recreation hall’s environment bring changes in the gesture
and posture of male and female students?
• As the Recreation Hall is used as new canteen, do the students really go there for having
food or doing something else?
• If any outsider of NSU come to visit the Recreation Hall, will he or she takes the
environment positively?
• What types of decent dress wearing patterns influence gender discrimination inside
Recreation hall and how this affects students mind based on class standard?
Summary of the Article
• An article on “The Ethics of Observing: Confronting the Harm of
Experiential Learning” by Joshua S. Meisel was studied in class to
understand to the idea of ethics of observing, which eventually helped us to
conduct the survey for our research paper. In the article, A course instructor
of Criminology took his students to a prison for observing the criminals
practically. This basically came out ineffective. Experiential Learning is very
much effective to understand the proper scenario and to learn the thing with
vision and experience. But to maintain the ethics is more important.
Observation Findings
• A girl was searching for someone, she continuously entering in the
recreation hall and going outside. She was searching for a name plate at
the door of the recreation hall. Maybe she is a new student.
• In case of eating, girls are checking their lipsticks with tissue papers after
having a bite.
• Guys eat more confidently.
• Girl art henna on another girl’s hand with a pretty deign.
Analysis
• Analysis#1: A girl continuously entering in the new canteen and when she did not
find the person whom she was searching, she went outside and again entered into
the hall. Maybe she was confused as she was also searching for a name plate at
the door of the recreation hall. By observing her behavior, I think she is a fresher.
• Analysis#2: Girls are more concerned with their looks and make-ups. While
eating they sometimes on their front phone cameras and check their faces if there
is anything sticking on their faces.
• Analysis#3: When guys eat, they eat faster that girls do.
Conclusion
• Recreation hall is used as new canteen as old canteen has not enough
space. So it should be used as an eating place. Also our parents
sometimes visit our campus. They will feel uncomfortable if they see
the interaction between males and females. So the authority should
take necessary actions to stop negative interactions between males and
females.
