Measures of Position are techniques that divide
a set of data into equal groups.
To determine the measurement of position, the
data must be sorted from lowest to highest or
highest to lowest. One of the measures of position
are Deciles.

What is Decile?
 DECILES

are nine score-points that divide

a distribution into ten equal parts.
 Deciles and are denoted as D1, D2, D3…, D9 and
computed in the same way that
the quartiles are calculated. The word decile was first
known used on 1882, it comes from the Latin word
decem ten- it means more at Ten.
