FUNCTION
Function is a relation in which each element of domain
corresponds to exactly one element of range.
• All function are relation, but not all relation are function.
• Its clear in the definition that it is a function if there is no two
ordered pairs in a set of ordered pairs has the same x- value or
the abscissa , and the has different y- values.

Working Definition
A function is an equation for which any x that
can be plugged into equation will yield exactly
one y out of the equation.
7. y= x+2 No.7 is a function because any x can be
plugged into the equation will yield
exactly one y out of the equation.
