Introduction
• Data transmission through led(Light emitting diode) is the
advance way of data transmission in which the use of visible
spectrum enhanced the speed up to 10000 times more than
radio waves.
Radio wave transmission
Basis of this technology

EFFICIENCY

CAPACITY
CAPACITY SECURITY

AVAILABILITY
• CAPACITY:The way we transmit data in
electromagnetic wave in particular radio waves and
RW are limited expensive
• EFFICIENCY:The 1.4 billion radio mast consumes a lot
of energy& most of energy is not use for transmit but
used for cooling the base station
• AVAILABILITY:We may have to switch of our mobile
phones in hospitals,flights&data transmission failed
• SECURITY:The radio wave can penetrate through
walls&somebody may can use for its bad intention

MECHANISM

When a light-emitting diode is forward biased (switched on), electrons are able to recombine
with electron holes within the device, releasing energy in the form of photons.
.We can vary the intensity of LED output and these signal picked up by simple receiver and a
microchip is to be placed in receiver
Microchip inside receiver

Working principle
• We can use the led bulbs for communication purpose.
• we have to replaced the inefficient incandescent light
bulb in to fluorescent light and we used as led light bulb.
• An led light bulb is a semiconductor device and its
intensity can be modulated at a high speed.
• It’s switching action is very fast.
• It consists of a transmitter and a receiver. When light
goes through a receiver a little changes in amplitude and
to converts electrical signal to a high speed data stream
Comparison
• Capacity : 10000 times more spectrum
• Efficiency: highly energy efficient
• Availabilty:hospitals,aircraft,smart phones
• Security :light does not penetrate through
walls, no one outside of the room would be
able to read the data
APPLICATIONS
CONCLUSIONS
• There are not only 14 billions of LEDs and may
have 14 billions of Li-Fies for clear greener and
a brighter future
