I am Muhammad Faiz Al-Ghifari.
Now, I would like to show you my presentation about the best Fried
Chicken ever that is Kentucky Fried Chicken.
We all know KFC is the most famous fast food restaurant which is
served not only fried chicken but also many kinds of dessert,
appetizer and others. We can find this restaurant almost in every
county. This restaurant is very comfortable and the price of the
foods are affordable.
I love to talk about KFC. That’s why , I would like to share to you
about the deepest information about this restaurant. I hope you
enjoy my presentation.

INTRODUCTION

▪ Kentucky fried chicken known as KFC is a multinational chain of fastfoods specialized in production of
chicken products.
▪ KFC Corporation, based in Louisville, Kentucky, is one of the few brands in America that can boast a rich,
decades-long history of success and innovation.
▪ It all started with one cook who created a soon-to-be world-famous recipe more than 70 years ago, a list
of secret herbs and spices scratched out on the back of the door to his kitchen. That cook was Colonel
Harland Sanders, of course, and now KFC is the world’s most popular chicken restaurant chain,
specializing in that same Original Recipe along with Extra Crispy Chicken, home-style chicken, and
buttermilk biscuits.
▪ There are over 21,000 KFC outlets in more than 130 countries and territories around the world.

• KFC began with Colonel Harlan Sander.


• He discovered his penchant for cooking when he was only 9 years old.
• 1930 Harland Sanders opened first restaurant where he starts selling fried chickens.
• 1936 Kentucky Governor Ruby Laffoon makes Harland Sanders an honorary Kentucky Colonel in

recognition of his contributions to the state's cuisine.

• 1939 The pressure cooker is introduced. Soon thereafter Colonel Sanders begins using it to
fry his chicken to give customers fresh chicken, faster.

• 1940 is birthdate of original recipe made by mixture of 11 kinds of spice

• 1952 The Colonel begins actively franchising his chicken business


• 1960 There are 190 KFC franchisees and 400 franchise units in the U.S. and Canada.

• 1971 More than 3,500 franchised and company-owned restaurants are in worldwide
operation

• 1979 KFC cooks up 2.7 billion pieces of chicken. There are approximately 6,000 KFC
restaurants worldwide with sales of more than $2 billion.

• KFC passed through few take-overs and in the end stayed under YUM! Brands,
Inc.

• 2007 KFC proudly introduces a new recipe that keeps the Colonel's 11 herbs
and spices and finger-lickin' flavor, but contains Zero Grams of Trans Fat per
serving thanks to new cooking oil.

FOOD PROMISE (INGREDIENTS)

1. Throughout each day, The trained cooks freshly prepare fried chicken using the Colonel’s Secret
Recipe of 11 herbs & spices.
2. It takes more than 25 minutes to hand bread and cook the chicken before it’s ready for being served
in the bucket or boxed meal. That’s why KFC has the world’s best chicken.
3. KFC uses 100 percent real chicken raised on U.S. farms.
4. The chicken is USDA inspected for quality before it can be delivered to our kitchens.
5. The chicken is free of added hormones and steroids. In fact, FDA regulations prohibit the addition of
hormones in poultry in the U.S.
6. By the end of 2018, all chicken purchased by KFC U.S. will be raised without antibiotics important
to human medicine.
7. All of our menu items are free of food dyes (with the exception of beverages and third-party
products). In addition, artificial colors and flavors will be removed from our Core products by the end
of 2018.
