AND TRAINING

WHAT ARE HORMONES?

Hormones regulate various biological activities including

growth, development, reproduction, energy use and storage,
and water and electrolyte balance.
TYPES OF GLANDS

Thyroid gland Parathyroid glands

01  is an endocrine organ located in
02 A gland that regulates calcium,
the neck that participates in a located behind the thyroid gland in
myriad of systemic processes. the neck.

Pineal gland Pancreas

behind the stomach.
TYPES OF GLANDS

Pituitary gland Gonads

05 The pituitary gland is a small

endocrine organ that controls a Primary reproductive gland that
multitude of important functions in produces reproductive cells
the body.

Suprarenal (adrenal)
07 glands
 small, triangular-shaped glands
located on top of both kidneys.
Exercise and the
Regulation Endocrine
Hormones
The endocrine system has profound regulatory effects
within the human body and thus the ability to control and
maintain appropriate function within many physiological
systems. The hormones associated with the endocrine
system utilize autocrine, paracrine, or endocrine actions on
the cells of their target tissues within these physiologic
systems to adjust homeostasis.
How does exercise affect the hormones system?

- Exercise also leads to an increase in the

production and release of growth hormone,
testosterone, cortisol and prolactin that each
has local and systemic effects.
What exercise is for hormones system?

Intense resistance training (heavy weights) stimulates

the release of greater quantities of growth hormone than
less intense forms of exercise. Consequently intense
resistance training has a greater response (growth in
skeletal muscle) than other less intense forms
of exercise.
How do you regulate your hormones system?

- To help keep your endocrine system healthy:

- Get plenty of exercise.
- Eat a nutritious diet.
- Go for regular medical checkups.
- Talk to the doctor before taking any supplements or
herbal treatments.
Let the doctor know about any family history of endocrine
problems, such as diabetes or thyroid problems.
What hormones are active during exercise?

-When you exercise, your body releases chemicals

called endorphins. These endorphins interact with
the receptors in your brain that reduce your
perception of pain. Endorphins also trigger a
positive feeling in the body, similar to that of
morphine.
TRAINING
IEZE GALLEVO
Objective
Training is a process of enhancing skill,
knowledge, competencies of employees so that
they can perform present jobs. The basic objective
of training is to help organization to achieve its
goals by adding value to the employees.
Definition of Training
Training is teaching, or developing in oneself
or others, any skills and knowledge or fitness
that relate to specific useful competencies. ...
Training also refers to the development of
physical fitness related to a specific
competence, such as sport, martial arts,
military applications and some other
occupations.
4 Methods of Training in Physical
Education
1. Continues Training
Those training in this mode perform aerobic
exercises at a continuous level or rate for
extended periods of time.

2. Interval Training
Training in this way combines extreme,
vigorous periods of fast running or aerobic
exercise with periods of slower running,
allowing the athlete to recover a bit before
resuming fast running.
3. Circuit Training
This type of training has similarities to interval
training due to the use of hard periods of extreme
exertion interspersed with short rest periods in
between each set of exercises.

4. Weight Training
Weight training will improve overall strength and
mobility, and works best when combined with circuit
training. Weight training forces muscles to work
beyond their normal capacity.
