Career Plan

Colton Cabading
Trade goals
My trade is Culinary Arts. I am 86% completed. I expect to leave by October of this
year.
I have completed Science, Social Studies, Economics, English and Digital Arts.
I expect to leave Job Corps by late October to early November.
Placement upon completion of JC
I intend to work at a restaurant as soon as I get out.
Restaurants I would be looking forward to working at include Mr. A’s in downtown,
the Brigantine in Coronado, Coasterra in Harbor Island, or the Marine Room in La
Jolla.
I would need to go to CTS and get job interviews to be able to make this happen. I
already have both Chefs willing to be my references when the time comes for an
interview.
I will have access to a car when I get out and I plan
to drive myself back and forth to work.
Housing and Transportation
I plan to live at my house (the trap) with my dad.
Thankfully, I will not need to pay rent, however out of courtesy since my dad been
supporting me for the last 2 decades, I plan to contribute.
I will pay my dad $200 for rent.
I will have my own SUV once I finish.
Budget Project
Budgeting Plan
I am not saving money while I am here.
I have a checking account.
I plan to invest in music equipment, get tattoos and
I do not have a job yet, but I am looking for one.
Future Goals
A life goal I have one year after I finish Job Corps is being comfortable with my job
in order to support my music career. I need to get a job to make this happen.
Five year goal after Job Corps is to be making myself known in the music
industry.I have to learn to produce music as well. I need to devote time to my
music career to make this happen.
Ten years after I complete Job Corps, I’d hopefully be a millionaire. I need to
chase my dream to make this happen.
