The “Philippine Statistica Act of 2013” was signed into law


by then Pres. Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III on September
12, 2013.

Philippine Statistics Authority

was created by merging the major statistical agencies


engaged in primary data collection and compilation of
secondary data, namely:

1. National Statistics Office (NSO);


2. National Statistics Coordination Board (NSCB);
3. Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS);
4. Bureau of Labor and Employment Statistics (BLES)

Philippine Statistics Authority

It serves as the central statistical authority on primary data


collection.

It plans, develops, prescribes, disseminates and enforces


policies, rules and regulations and coordinates government-
wide programs governing the production of official statistics,
general-purpose statistics and civil registration services.

It conducts censuses on different sectors of the Philippine


economy such as population, housing, agriculture, fisheries
and business.

It collects, compiles, analyzes and publishes statistical


information on the economic, social, demographic, political
affairs and general affairs of the people of the Philippines.

It carries out, enforces and administers civil registration


functions in the Philippines.

2. Duties and Functions

Registration Officer I (Operations Coordinator)


- Acts as coordination staff, involved in the procurement and gives
administrative support to RSSOs/PSOs for the implementation of
PhilSys;
- Coordinates with the CO/RO, partner agencies/organizations at the
region/province, and LGUs on PhilSys registration concerns;
- Acts as a Supervisor to the PhilSys staff assigned at the PSO;
- Monitors progress in the implementation of a registration in mobile
and fixed registration centers in the assigned region/province;
- Reviews and prepares consolidated operations plan of registration
centers within the province;
- Drafts responses to queries and complaints sent to the PSO;
- Drafts and prepares reports for submission to the PRO; and
- Performs additional tasks that may be assigned.

2. Duties and Functions

Administrative Assistant II
- Receives and controls documents and communications;
- Assists the immediate supervisor in personnel matters, record-
keeping, mailing/shipping operations, procurement and maintenance
of office supplies/equipment and general services;
- Assists the immediate supervisor in the preparation of payroll,
reimbursement, administrative reports, and communication;
- Assists the immediate supervisor in monitoring personnel
compliance with existing policies and rules;
- Attends to public queries through telephone and mails; and
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor/s.

4. Punctuality and Attendance

The following are considered as Grave Offenses which shall


cause immediate termination of contract or agreement

Commission of acts without prior notice and justifiable


grounds such as, but not limited to:
- Incurring of at least three (3) absences in a month,
whether consecutive or not; and
- Incurring of at least three (3) tardiness in a month, whether
consecutive or not.

5. Dress Code

MALES
• Polo/Polo shirt (with collars) paired with black, brown or dark
gray pants

FEMALES
• Blouse/polo shirt paired with black, brown or dark gray skirt or
slacks pants.

• PSA ID must be worn together with the prescribed office dress code.
• Employees must wear closed shoes (rubber shoes only allowed on
Fridays).
• On Fridays, wearing of maong pants or skirt (not tattered) may be
considered appropriate when paired with any collared shirt for male
employees or any appropriate blouse for female employees.

5. Dress Code

PROHIBITIONS

The following attires are prohibited when performing official functions inside
the workplace:
1. Gauzy (see-through), transparent or net-like shirt/blouse;
2. Sando, strapless or spaghetti-strap blouse (unless worn as an undershirt);
3. Tank-tops blouse with plunging neckline and the likes;
4. Micro-mini skirt, walking shorts, cycling shorts, leggings, tights, jogging
pants; and
5. Rubber sandals, rubber slippers and “bakya”.

The following are also to be prohibited during office hours and within office
premises:
1. Ostentatious display of jewelry, except for special occasions and during
official celebrations;
2. Wearing of heavy or theatrical make-up.

5. Dress Code

EXEMPTIONS

Exemptions may be allowed on the following grounds:


1. When the nature of work of the employee demands that he/she
wears clothing other than those prescribed;
2. When religious affiliation or creed or any legitimate practice by the
employee in relation thereto, requires him/her to wear a particular
clothing;
3. Physical disabilities, and other legitimate health reasons;
4. Pregnant female employees are allowed to wear maternity dress
during the period of their pregnancy; and
5. Employees who lost loved ones can wear mourning clothes during
the period of mourning.
