He painted gold.

But… did the magic paintbrush work with the rich farmer? What did he do?
Ho asked the greedy, rich man, “What would you like me to paint for you?”
The greedy, rich man said, “I want a picture of a golden mountain. I will go
there to collect gold.”
 Ho painted the mountain of gold. But he also painted a blue sea all around it.
This made the greedy, rich man angry. “I can not swim! Why did you paint the
sea?”.
The greedy, rich man wasn’t happy with the painting. Then, Ho painted a large
ship and the greedy, rich man jumped into it.
The greedy, rich man started sailing towards the mountain of gold to find the
gold. When the ship reached the middle of the sea, Ho painted a huge wave
(gale) which took the farmer far, far, away.
