Issues faced in parts departments

 Inaccuracy on parts supply eg- correct part numbers but wrong parts inside the
box
 Transfers made as per (VOR) but parts are short supplied.
 Fast moving items are being cut out and sent in less quantity
 Delay in supply of air freight parts [approx. 5 weeks], Eta dates not provided .
 Timing of courier delivery –e.g. promised delivery failure.
 Pending VOR’s, external/internal orders, costings.
 Lack of communication through calls and email’s e.g. where follow ups are being
done but feedbacks not given on time.
RECOMMENDATIONS

 Clarifying parts before dispatching to other branches.


 Parts department and auditors to correctly check quantity before loading in
courier & cdp.
 Checking with parts departments on the quantity of stock requested.
 Proper eta date and confirmation through email has to be provided.
 Proper communications on time and arrival of parts in courier and cdp.
 All paper work given has to be processed on time for the smooth running of our
daily work routine.
 Emails and calls should be attented on time to meet the shedule deadlines of
the company.
