Confind considers that the maintenance activities to be
performed are a natural addition to our work:

• We are a supplier for OMV Petrom for a plenty of equipments,

spare parts, services;
• Confind personnel is acquainted with OMV Petrom standards and
philosophies;
• Confind has been audited in several times by OMV Corporate
Procurement Strategy (July 13 2011 / Isalnita, December 15
2009 / Campina on Risk Analysis, Technical, QA/QC, HSE and CSR
modules);

Confind is certified at present for various domains:
• API Spec. Q1, API Spec. 7-1, API Spec. 7K, API Spec. 8A, API Spec.

In Annex 1, the future organization of Confind is presented, with the

implemented "Maintenance Division OMV Petrom“.

OMV Petrom Maintenance Division will have:

• A managing group in Campina (for tracking costs, framing the budget, aims
strategic objectives jointly agree with OMV Petrom, solve any problem that
may arise, managing HSE issues, human resources, legal compliance,
performance monitor, ensure compliance with the contractual regularions,
solve problems which arise in asset by the use of functional departments
and divisions in Confind etc.
• A work center (Moldova South Division) in Buzau;
• An operation center at Berca;
• Maintenance workshops at: Satuc, Oprisenesti and Independenta.
 Contract set-up /Concept

Confind was founded in 1991, has thus 20 years of experience in:

 Design of oil equipment

 Execution of oil equipment
 Construction – Installation works
 EPCC works
 Performs repair and maintenance (both in Confind and in Assets)

We have 1,200 employees of which about 160 are engineers, we own

designing department, we have sections of : drilling and production
tools, pressure vessels and spare parts for pumps, rubber resistant to oil
products, forging and heat treatment section, repair facilities for
intervention rigs and a joint ventures with Smith (Houston) that executes
pakers, mills, etc.
 Contract set-up /Concept

Many engineers and economists worked in oil and gas industry, knowing
the situation, equipment, technical condition, menthality, in a word, we
know very well the situation Pentrom’s Assets. This will help us to perform
a maintenance activity up to Petrom expectations.

We are beeing in a long term pertner with Petrom in many areas. Except
Petromar, we are present in all assets, in Petrobrazi, in gasoline and diesel
storage farms. We were audited and permanent check on the line of
quality and HSE. We learned OMV Petrom philosophies, we trained our
specialists in these fields and we now perform at the required standards.

At the took over of the maintenance of the Moldova South, we will check
the level of specialisation of the staff which is transferred to Confind and
will start to perform specific training for HSE, especially on the line of
quality.

and we will perform HSE specific trainings and specially trainings for
the activity performed in the quality department. Confind intends to
demonstrate that a Romanian company can perform the maintenance
activity as any other company from the West Europe. More than that,
Confind knows, in detail, the main part of the Petrom equipments
,as an important part of these equipments have been manufactured
by us , we issued the technical documentation ,the commissioning has
been performed by us and we also performed maintenance services ,
also, for some of these equipments. We All these things represent a
real advantage for us. We will perform a responsible and appropriate
maintenance activity and we will propose the activity update. We
have a laboratory for non- destructive control ( RX, US, magnetic
powders, penetrating liquids ) , laboratories for physical and
mechanical tests, rubber testing laboratory, laboratories for the
measurement devices testing and repair ( pressure, temperature,
mass ) and welding laboratories .

Our personnel is authorized by ISCIR, TUV, ANRGN, ANRE, ATEX, BRML

body. Considering all the above-mentioned, we can solve any problem
occurred in the static and dynamic equipments operation, even electric
problems (with the co-operation of Energopetrol).

We will
monitorizing of every equipment
analyze the causes which determine the occurance of damages,
daily meetings with the Petrom Assets representatives about the
problems, we will
propose technical and management measures,
we will take-over the beneficiary requirements ,
we will do our best to fulfill our contractual obligations .

Confind intends to become a real partner for OMV Petrom in the

maintenance area, which is a substantial sector of the daily production of
oil and gas.
 Contract set-up / Key personnel

Confind shall take-over a number of 206 persons form the OMV Petrom
personnel. We shall meet them and establish their working points and
departments and we will shall bring also some personnel from Confind
where necessary.

In order to ensure that everything works properly and that both parties
comply to the contract clauses, the management of the new Maintenance
Division of OMV Petrom will be provided by Ion Simion – CEO of Confind.

His deputy will be Eng. G. Musat, an engineer with great experience in the
field of Maintenance/Petrom.
At Buzau, along-side Asset, will be appointed Eng A. Iordache, Chief of
Department Moldova Sud, who worked his entire career in Petrom and
coordinated the maintenance activity in Poeni Area.

Confind shall take all the requested organizational measures, in order to

not affect negatively the production activity (in the same conditions as we
proceeded at the taking-over of the industrial workover repairs). A
detailed schedule has been presented, but it’s important to work
together for its issuance.

The Confind team must be permanently present in the Petrom Asset for
a better consideration and understanding of the problems. Only in this
way , we will elaborate correct working procedures, acquired by the both
parties ( management, efficient procedures, urgent works, reporting
system, IT system use, supply of spare parts, HSE procedures, quality
activity and environmental procedures )
