Canadá

• It is a parliamentary federal monarchy of

America, located in the north end of North
America. It spreads from the Atlantic
Ocean in the eastern part, the ocean
Pacific Ocean in the western part, and
towards the north up to the ocean The
Arctic, sharing border with the United
States of America in the southern part and
to the northwest with his territory Alaska.
The name Canadá comes:

• From the root iroquesa kanata that means

"settlement", "accession" or " set of cabins
", refiriéndose initially to Stadaconé, an
accession in the site of the current city of
Quebec.The explorer Jacques Cartier used
the word "Canada" to refer not only to this
village especially, but also to the whole
area under Stadaconé's mandate; for
1545, the maps and European books had
begun to refer to the whole region as
Canadá.
Government and politics

• Canada has a parliamentary government with strong

democratic traditions. The parliament is composed
by The Crown, a Chamber of Common elect by the
people and a designated Senate. Every member of
the parliament in the Chamber of the Common ones
is chosen by simple majority in a constituency or
his equivalent. The prime minister is the one who
calls for general choices, which must be a
maximum five years after the previous choice, or
can be unleashed by the government on having
asked for the motion of censorship in the
parliament.

Geography and climate

• Canada occupies great part of the north of North

America, sharing his terrestrial borders with the
contiguous United States in the southern part and
with the condition and territory of Alaska towards
the northwest, spreading from the Atlantic Ocean
in the East up to the ocean Pacific Ocean in the
west; in the northern part it borders on the ocean
The Arctic. For his total area (including his
waters), it is the biggest second country in the
world, after Rusia. For his area of land, occupies
the fourth place (the area of land is the total
area less the area of the lakes and rivers)
