How do you evaluate Hajjar’s role as manager

and entrepreneur in the success of 961 Beer ?

In the opinion of our syndicate, Hajjar was an innovative man and

played the biggest role in the success of 916 Beer. He managed to
develop a unique product that distinguishes himself from
competitors in Lebanon. Hajjar managed to create a new market
segment and was able to promote it by the quality of its Beer
products itself.
With conditions in Lebanon in bad shape, Hajjar dared to take risks
from the beginning when he resigned from the role as CEO to start a
new business and set up the company as a new participant in
lebanese business competition.
As an entrepreneur and manager, Hajjar takes risky decisions by
selling products under cost in the hope of gaining economies of scale
in the future and to maintain current market share, In our opinion,
Hajjar should take other approaches such as supply chain strategy,
inventory management and new business schemes.
In addition, Hajjar managed to assemble his own brewing equipment
at no additional cost from the Technology Owner. He can adapt to
different situations and manages to finish well.

How do you evaluate Hajjar’s decision to start a business under exceedingly adverse political and
economical conditions ?
Political
When Hajjar started the company, political stability in
Lebanon was not good. The condition in question is
very risky to start a business, especially for hajjar as a
newcomer is very risky
Economic
Due to the political situation affecting the economy, the
growth conditions of the beer market globally are
increasing, the local market share is also good, as well as

the available investors are not much. However, for Hendrik
the Danes saw this as an opportunity rather than a threat.
Social
There are no important problems with social conditions,
the lifestyle found in Lebanon especially the nightlife
matches the growth of the Beer market
Technological
Brewing technology in Lebanon is not available locally, but must be
supplied from abroad, of course the cost required is very expensive.
In the case of 961 Beer, they have founders and managers who get
brew master certification from canada and are able to install their
own brewing equipment so that it does not require additional costs.
Environmental
Looking at the environmental conditions in Lebanon, there
are no issues in the brewing process. Beer should be
produced with fresh ingredients, and a supportive
environment because it has a strong influence in the beer
product itself
Legal
One of the things that threatens to 961 Beer is the lack of anti-
competitive laws in force in Lebanon, this will have an impact on 961
Beer in its business competition with big players. However, when it
comes to setting up new companies, there are no restrictive laws
and so far the legal functions in Lebanon are doing well.
