Vision
The guidance office envisions to be a place
where genuine care and healing relationships
take place. The Guidance In-Charge commit
themselves to be functional and friendly
caregivers to our counseling partner – the
learners, their parents, and the school and
parish community.
Mission
We charge upon ourselves the mission to:
• Develop and enrich the self-awareness and self-confidence of our
partners;
• Nurture their learning interests essential to academic excellence;
• Encourage them to desire and achieve socially accepted behavior;
• Enhance their moral and spiritual values;
• Empower them with decision-making skills;
thereby, making Self-Actualization Catholic Christian and
Exemplars of communion and Mission and making us share in the
ministry of the Wounded Healer and Wonder Counselor, JESUS
CHRIST
Goals
1. Enhancement of knowledge, skills and attitude of the
counselors for more fruitful guidance.
2. Encouragement of participation from parents,
teachers and institution in the guidance program and
services.
3. Creation and relevant guidance activities to broader
the access to the guidance services especially
counseling.
4. Establish consultancy and counseling services in the
school and parish community.
Guidance and Counseling Act of

guidance and counseling and creating for this
purpose a professional regulatory board of
guidance and counseling appropriating funds
therefore and other purposes.

The SFPS Guidance and Counseling
Program
The SFPS Guidance and Counseling Program
is oriented towards the personal growth and
development of students through face to face
or online consultation. It consists of structured
intervention activities that responds to the
students’ needs and concerns. It is
developmental in nature, preventive and
remedial in focus and goal-oriented.
Program Focus
The guidance and counseling programs are
focused on the four (4) aspects namely
academic, personal, social and career.

experiencing the guidance counseling office
conduct a way to continue our service.

What is guidance counseling online?

Online counseling is an alternative to


traditional face to face counseling wherein
counseling services are provided through the
use of internet. This service is mainly offered
via email, real-time chat, and video
conferencing.
Guidance and Counseling Consultation
Process
Step 1
Set an appointment with the Guidance In-
Charge through the Class Adviser.
Step 2
The parents or the student will fill up the form for
appointment for online counseling through Google
forms they will choose if they will have online
consultation or face to face.
Step 3
Virtual consultation through the most available
communication application (Zoom,
Messenger, or Google Meet) (for online
consultation).
For Face to Face Consultation
The Guidance In-Charge will provide parents consent to the
student. The student should ask their parents for their approval
upon visiting the school for the consultation. The student are not
allow to enter the school premises without the consent.
Consultation is scheduled every Friday.

• Learning Partner must wear decent attire while assisting the Learner in the
online class.
• The Learning Partners should abide by the online learning policies.

COMMITTEE
• The Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) is a
five (5)-member committee constituted to serve as trustee of the
Fund for Assistance to Private Education (FAPE)

• Department of Education (DepEd) as chairperson; NEDA;


Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP);
Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities
(ACSCU); Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities
(PACU) as members.
PRIVATE EDUCATION ASSISTANCE
COMMITTEE
• In 1989, Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in
Private Education (GASTPE) act was passed. It is the
institutionalized program of PEAC.

• SHS Voucher, ESC, TSS, INSET, and Research are the


programs under GASTPE.
PRIVATE EDUCATION ASSISTANCE
COMMITTEE
• ESC provides PHP 9000 for an incoming Junior High School
Students who needs assistance.

• The amount given is automatically lessen on a grantee’s


tuition fee.

• The amount given is not convertible into cash.

• ESC is continuous until Grade 10. However, if a grantee


transfers out to a public school or to a non-esc private school
during Junior High School Year, the grant will be forfeited.
