memperbaiki irama jantung yang efektif
PENYEBAB HENTI JANTUNG

• Heart attack
• Stroke
• Choking (airway obstruction)
• Electrocution
• Breathing stops (respiratory arrest)
PASTIKAN TIDAK ADA BAHAYA
The safety of both the first responder and the victim are paramount
during a resuscitation attempt.

Are there any hazards?

• Make sure you, the victim and any bystanders are safe
• If available, use gloves
• If available, use barrier device (such as one-way valve or face shield)

Continue only once environment and you are safe.

CHECK FOR RESPONSE, IF
UNRESPONSIVE
Check the victim for a response. Gently tap their
shoulders and ask loudly: “Are you OK?”

If the person is NOT AWAKE

• If the person cannot be woken
• If the person is unresponsive
• If the person is not breathing or only gasping

Call for HELP! Call for Help or send

someone to the phone. Call the appropriate
Emergency Service.

Get the AED Defibrillator

or send someone to get the AED
If the person responds – Leave the person in the position in
which you found them provided there is no further danger,
get help if needed. Talk to the victim for more information
and reassess regularly.
START AND CONTINUE CPR
CPR Cycles:
30 chest compressions
(if you can) follow with 2 breaths
… otherwise just chest compressions

Compressions:
1. Push hard – at least 5-6 cm deep
2. Push fast – at least 100-120 per minute
3. Allow complete chest recoil after each
compression
4. Minimise interruptions in chest compressions
5. Inflate until chest rises – only 2 ventilation
attempts allowed after every 30
compressions
6. Avoid excessive ventilation
START AND CONTINUE CPR
CPR Cycles:
30 chest compressions
(if you can) follow with 2 breaths
… otherwise just chest compressions

Compressions rules:
1. Tentukan titik tekan
2. Kunci kedua siku
3. Bahu tepat di atas titik tekan
4. Tumpuan pada kedua lutut yang dirapatkan
5. Fokus pada perintah (suara) alat AED
RESCUE BREATHS
If you can, give 2 breaths after every 30 chest compressions… otherwise just
do continuous chest compressions.
Open Airway
1. Open the airway using head tilt and chin lift.
2. Place your hand on forehead and gently tilt head back keeping your thumb
and index finger free to close the nose if rescue breathing is required.
3. With fingertips of your other hand under the point of the victim’s chin, lift
the chin to open the airway.
RESCUE BREATHS
Give 2 breaths (rescue breaths).
1. Pinch the soft part of the nose
close, using the index finger and
thumb.
2. Allow the mouth to open, but
maintain chin lift.
3. Take a normal breath & place your
lips around victim’s mouth, making
sure you have a good seal, using a
barrier-device if available.
4. Blow steadily into the mouth while
watching for the chest to rise,
taking about 1 second.
5. Maintaining head tilt and chin lift,
take your mouth away and watch
for the chest to fall as air passes
out.
6. Continue with chest compressions
and rescue breaths 30:2
WHEN TO STOP CPR
Stop to recheck the victim only if they start
breathing; otherwise continue with the 30:2
sequence.

Stop CPR when:

• Qualified help arrives and takes
over
• The victim starts breathing
normally
• You become exhausted
AED / DEFIBRILLATOR
As soon as the defibrillator arrives, switch on the
defibrillator and attach the defibrillator pads.
If more than one rescuer is present, CPR should be
continued while this is carried out.
Using the AED Defibrillator:
1. Follow the spoken/visual directions.
2. The victim must not be touched while the AED is
analysing the rhythm.
3. If a shock is indicated, ensure that the victim is not
touched.
4. Push shock button as directed.
5. Resume CPR immediately starting with chest
compression
6. Repeat every 2 minutes

The AED will re-analyse the rhythm. Follow the

AED’s voice/visual prompts. If no shock is
indicated, immediately resume CPR.
