SETTING PROPS
The film is mostly shot in the slums of Mumbai to bring the In the beginning of the movie we see Raman killing a man

COSTUMES & MAKEUP
7 7
Overall all the characters in the movie wears daily life costumes, how we generally see people in real life according to their social class.
10 10
Major part of the movie has used available light.
Even in indoors to give a realistic feeling, if more
lights were added in indoor scene it may have lost
the look & the aesthetics can’t be recreated of it & it
may have looked made up.
The colours were pop through out the movie. The lighting
Design was enough to bring, drama, grunge & agony
to the audience

STAGING OF ACTORS
12 12
This is one brilliant scene from the movie that describes the staging of actors so well.
1. In the first shot, family thinks that Raman went away & Lakshmi started crying as she felt free from her psychic brother.
2. In very next shot there is a knock on the door & Raman comes and hits Lakshmi’s husband with Metal Rod on forehead & left him injured.
3. Lakshmi now helpless, can only cry & scream.
4. He kept their child hostage & tied him to chair, later on he watched his mother & father been killed by his psychic uncle.
5. Raman is now in kitchen and have Lakshmi with him, he had his eyes on the son and husband & situation under his control
6. Lakshmi’s husband is argumentative, Raman goes to him & talks with him, later on he first kills Lakshmi, then his husband in front of their son
& their son, very ruthlessly.
The scene, simply because of the performances by the actors, stands out in the entire film.

SOUND
The sound played an important role to keep this movie realistic & keeping the viewer glued to the movie.
There are some nice touches as when the romantic music wells as Raman explains to Raghav that he is
his soul mate. It’s a twisted but seemingly genuine love at first sight. When Raman describes his thinking
there are often sound effects like rain, or static, that make it seem like a genuine recollection but also
that his imagination is his reality. The ambient noise are recorded so well that they connect us with
he noisy Mumbai & the slums. The songs in the movie are not necessary but they give us a chance to
look into the characters inner state.

CINEMATOGRAPHY
15 15
Almost all the shots in the movie are hand held.
And it gives us an idea of Guerrilla type of filmmaking,
low budgets, real locations simple props. It was meant
for the film to be looking realistic
Almost all the shots are taken in Natural light & as well
as the chawls seen. The Aperture is large open through-
out almost all the shots in the movie.
The colours were pop through out the movie. The tone was
Very vibrant . The real location gave a life to the camera
& we felt the environment around us
