POVERTY
WHAT IS
POVERTY?
Poverty is when a person or
community doesn’t have the
financial resources nor the
essentials for a basic standard of
living.
CAUSES OF
POVERTY
1.OVERPOPULATION
What is Overpopulation?
Overpopulation is when an area or habitat is exceeded its
capacity.

Why we think its a cause…

It’s a cause because in overpopulated areas it's hard to find
jobs. And the rich persons, takes advantage of the poor people.
They do so by impregnating the women which is procreation
which causes more people and less homes.
2.UNEMPLOYMENT
What is unemployment?
Unemployment is when someone is um able to find a job.

Why we think it’s a cause…

Unemployment is most definitely a cause because when
someone isn’t working they don’t get paid and I'm sure that
persons have bills and debts to pay. And by not doing so the
company of government can seize everything leaving them
homeless and on the streets.
3. CLIMATE CHANGE

what is climate change?

Climate change is the change in the temperature and rainfall.

Why we think it’s a cause...

Climate change is a cause because for farmer, events like
drought, flooding and storms aren’t so good for crops. It puts
persons who grows vegetables and fruits out of business.
CONSEQUENCES
OF POVERTY
1.HEALTH ISSUES
Health issues can be a problem because, it affects the
kid`s ability to do well in school & help out with work.
And for adults, they won't be able to do labour nor see
about kids/family.
Unfortunate kids would usually
2.LIMITED attend rundown schools with
ACCESS TO inefficient facilities and schooling.
EDUCATIO Their lack of education restricts
N other generations which can
continue the cycle of poverty.
3.INCREASED CRIME
Increased crime would have an effect on the poor,
because they would steal items/food goods, rob
stores/persons, just to provide food for their family.
SOLUTIONS TO
POVERTY
1.INCREASE ACCESS TO
EDUCATION
• Increasing access to education is a solution because by
having an education, kids can work hard to get a
scholarship, then further their studies and later on they
can a high or terrific profession.
2. EQUALITY

•Equality can also be a solution for poverty because by

giving all of the groups in a community an opportunity to
give a statement or be involved in the decision-making
process.
