INTRODUCTION
 Maruti Udyog limited was established in 1981.
 First production commenced in 1983 Gurgaon, India,

 Competed to Hindustan motors by launching Maruti 800 in


1984.
 On 17th September,2001 Maruti Udyog was renamed to
Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
 It is subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan.

 Maruti has more than 5 million satisfied customers in India

FACILITY CAPACITY PLANNING -
 Current production capacity:
• Annual Capacity at Maruti Suzuki Gurgaon is: 850,000 units
• Annual Capacity at Maruti Suzuki Manesar is: 350,000 units
Total capacity : 12,00,000 units (1.2 million units)

 Expanding Capacity:
Maruti Suzuki to establish 2 plants at Manesar.
Plant B - capacity of 250,000 units per annum (Jan 2012)
Plant C -capacity of 250,000 units/annum (2012-2013)
Total Capacity: 17,00,000 units per annum by end of fiscal 2012-13
