Topic Selection: Thermal Performance of Heat Sink With Modified Plate Fins Subjected To Natural Convection
TOPIC SELECTION
1. Introduction
2. Literature Survey
4. Problem Statement
5. Methodology
Ilker Tari, Mehdi Natural convection Computational In the first part of the
Mehrtash heat transfer from Fluid Dynamics paper, we studied the
inclined plate-fin (CFD) natural convection from
heat sinks rectangular cross section
vertical plate fins on a
vertical base, after
modeling a recent
experimental set-up and
conditions.

6. OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE
OBJECTIVE
To increase the surface area for heat transfer and
getting the best performance of the plate fin.
GEOMETRICAL PARAMTER:
1. Changing the shape of the plate fin
SCOPE
This design can used to increase the heat transfer
rate. The rate of heat transfer increases as the heat
generated in the body increases. It can be used in
devices with small dimension and producing high
amount of heat
