Patch Request Process

Access Requirements

– Group Needed: uOC_Requestor, uOC_ReleaseManagement

Create a New Patch Request

To create a new patch request, select “Patch Request”


from the left navigation menu

Select “New”

Patch Request Form
• The required form fields will display with a red asterisk

Patch Request Form
• After completing all the required information, you can either “Save as
Draft” to save the request or “Submit Patch Request” to begin the
workflow.

Patch List
• Whether you submit or save as draft your Patch Request, it will be
stored in the Patch Requests list

Submit Patch
• Once the patch is submitted, the request will be routed to the Release
Management Team, then back to the IT Owner for testing.

Pending
• Once the request is submitted, the patch is assigned to the Release
Management Team where a ticket number is entered.
• The release management team selects “Next Step” to progress the
Patch

In Progress
• Once the patch is in progress, the request is pending the patch applied
date from corporate IT.
• A Patch Impact Analysis is also required to be attached
• Once the attachments are added, select Next Step to assign the
request back to the IT Owner for testing.

Requestor Review
• Once the Patch is ready for testing, the request will be assigned back
to the IT Owner.
• To complete the request, the user selects Closed – Failed or Closed –
Passed.

Requestor Review
• Closed Failed – The Patch will be Closed – Failed and the workflow
will end

Requestor Review
• Closed Passed – The Patch will be Passed and a new RFC will be
created

• Closed Passed – The Patch will be Passed and a new RFC will be
created

• A reference to the Patch request will be available on the footer of the
RFC:
