ABSTRACT
The main target of the project is reducing the time in
shaping operation. The shaping is done by forward and reverse
stroke of the cylinder piston. This will be more efficient in
workshops. This machine is pneumatic powered which has low
co-efficient of friction. This is a pneumatic powered machine
and requires no other means of power to operate

This can be maintained by controlling the air. The

required components are Compressor, Pneumatic cylinder,
Solenoid and Control unit
INTRODUCTION

The main objective of our project is to

perform machining operation using machine with
the help of pneumatic source . For a developing
industry the operation performed and the parts
(or) components produced should have it
minimum possible production cost, then only
industry runs profitability
Following are some key features of the
shaping machine
• Quick return movement to save idle time.
• Quite robust and rigid construction to avoid
vibrations.
• Vice is movable along the working table.

Components
Timer (4046)
Timer is a clock that controls the sequence of an event while counting in fixed
intervals of time. A Timer is used for producing precise time delay. Secondly, it
can be used to repeat or initiate an action after/at a known period of time. This
feature is very commonly used in several applications.
Timers provide time delays that are very precise and accurate
Driver Circuit
In electronics, a driver is an electrical circuit or other electronic component used
to control another circuit or component, such as a high-power transistor liquid
crystal display (LCD) and numerous others.
Relay
A relay is an electrical switch that turns on or off, based on an external electrical
signal. It is just like a normal switch that we see in our homes. The only
difference is that instead of a human being switching it on or off, the switching is
controlled via an external electrical signal. When the external signal is applied,
the relay energizes and the switch is on, and when, the external electrical signal
is removed, the relay is de-energized and the switch is off.
Solenoid Valve

A solenoid valve is an electro mechanically operated valve The

valve is controlled by an electric current through a solenoid in the
case of a two-port valve the flow is switched on or off; in the case
of a three-port valve, the outflow is switched between the two
outlet ports. Multiple solenoid valves can be placed together on
a manifold.
